We are searching for a Maintenance Engineer / Tackler to join us…

Do you have?

  • A mechanical background
  • The desire to broaden your experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a specialist industry
  • Strong interest in electromechanical systems
  • Good communication skills, ability to verbalise and provide precise written information

The role

  • In this role you will be joining the engineering team, performing pre-planned and reactive maintenance on specialist machinery within the production areas and throughout the site.
  • This will mainly be mechanical with some occasional electrical work if qualified.
  • Upon starting you will be put through a detailed training plan providing you with the skills and knowledge to become fully qualified within our industry.

The role is set on a rotating shift based and operates on an annualised hours pattern.

  •  The energy and flexibility to work in a fast-moving production environment

The role

  •  Using the training provided you will
  • Understand practically the operation of a weaving loom and other textile equipment
  • Be responsible for setting up a loom using the correct design and yarns
  • Oversee high fabric quality standards and weaving productivity on loom
  • Have an ability to identify and resolve weaving issues as they occur
  • The shifts operate on an alternating shift based annualised hours plan.

Our recruitment process

We pride ourselves on a transparent and fair recruitment process. We respond to every application, even if you haven’t been successful. Interviews are conducted by line managers and there is an opportunity to meet the team before you join us.

We advertise all roles internally, on our website, and in local job centres as well as carefully selected recruitment agencies. Due to the specialist nature of what we do, we form a close relationship with our recruitment agencies, spending time with them at the mill so they get a good feel for the type of person we are looking for.

We have seen many successful recruitments come from recommendation, so we offer a reward scheme for people who work at the mill, when they recommend someone to come and join our team.
