Quality Assurance Technician
Who are we looking for:
- Someone who enjoys working in a fast paced and reactive environment, involving regular material testing and development work.
- Aptitude of a good team player, providing positive contributions to the team and supporting others to achieve the best outcome.
- Engagement within a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including supply chain, yarn suppliers, dyehouses and testing facilities.
- Confidence in making judgement-based decisions, using a range of assessment approaches.
- Ability to learn and conduct tests independently, reporting the results to relevant people and archiving information accurately to support the future needs of the company.
- Enthusiastic to work on improvements for the benefit of the business through involvement in various groups throughout the business.
The role
- Conduct tests reliably in line with industry standards to ensure materials meet the necessary quality and performance requirements.
- Communicate results of tests clearly to internal and external stakeholders to support supply chain movement of stock.
- Maintain archives of test results accurately to meet the future needs of the business and support quality queries.
- Assist in development work related to testing procedures and fabric performance by actively identifying potential issues and implementing solutions

Our recruitment process
Our recruitment process
We pride ourselves on a transparent and fair recruitment process. We respond to every application, even if you haven’t been successful. Interviews are conducted by line managers and there is an opportunity to meet the team before you join us.
We advertise all roles internally, on our website, and in local job centres as well as carefully selected recruitment agencies. Due to the specialist nature of what we do, we form a close relationship with our recruitment agencies, spending time with them at the mill so they get a good feel for the type of person we are looking for.
We have seen many successful recruitments come from recommendation, so we offer a reward scheme for people who work at the mill, when they recommend someone to come and join our team.
