Join Our Team as a Full Time Administrator (40 hours per week – 8am-5pm Monday to Friday)

The Role:

The best part of working at Sudbury Silk Mill is that no day is the same, however to give you an idea of what your new career may include:

🔹 Monitor and respond to despatch priorities as indicated on the Despatch Schedule, including coordinating with other departments as necessary

🔹Follow established procedures to process and manage Shipping Export/Import documentation

🔹Follow established procedures to process and manage Shipping Export/Import documentation

🔹Coordinate and track outgoing and incoming consignments, including liaison with carriers, freight forwarders, Account Managers and customers

🔹Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and on-time delivery

🔹Understanding Account Manager and customer requirements and converting them to a schedule of tasks with completion deadlines and monitoring the progress

🔹Become proficient at using standard and in-house systems and processes including the effective contribution to admin team tasks and improvement work

What you’ll bring:

In order to join our team, you will need:

🔹Proven organisational and time-management skills,

🔹Excellent customer service experience,

🔹The ability to demonstrate solid problem-solving skills,

🔹To be computer literate,

🔹Knowledge of Incoterms, Import and Export compliance.

Join Our Team as a QC Manager at Sudbury Silk Mills

At Sudbury Silk Mills, we craft luxury fabrics with passion and commitment to sustainability in the heart of Suffolk. We’re seeking a dynamic and organised QC Manager to join our team and make a difference!

What You’ll Do:

🔹 Lead and support the day-to-day Fabric Quality function within a specialist textile manufacturing environment
🔹 Coordinate quality priorities and decision-making to support manufacturing flow, delivery performance, and customer requirements
🔹 Work closely with Manufacturing and wider teams to strengthen communication, consistency, and problem solving
🔹 Support investigation of quality issues and help drive practical continuous improvement activity
🔹 Develop capability, confidence, and consistency within the wider Fabric Quality team through coaching and support

What You’ll Bring:

🔹 Experience leading or supporting teams within a manufacturing or quality-focused environment
🔹 Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage changing priorities and make decisions under pressure
🔹 Experience working with quality control, inspection, or operational improvement processes
🔹 A practical, collaborative, and hands-on approach with willingness to learn within a specialist textile manufacturing environment

Our recruitment process

We advertise all roles internally, on our website, and in local job centres as well as carefully selected recruitment agencies.
